I have been reading your posts now and then and they are a refreshing change from the same old, same old “treat the symptoms” medical establishment. We need more Doctors like you to think outside the box to help folks like me get the best out of life. I wish you and your cause continued success 🚀👍🙏

As a former oncology and hospice nurse, and a woman who has abused her body from time to time. I care and I want to learn more. I just finished in Anatomy Trains human dissection, and I don’t wanna end up like anybody that was on my table.

It’s refreshing to hear a doctor go beyond the traditional model and talk about the human body in such way.

I have always lived a pretty healthy lifestyle in my younger years, but I feel that I’ve gotten off track since the COVID lockdowns, regarding drinking more wine and having sleep issues. I need a reset! Thank you for writing this book.

Marlene, thank you for sharing so honestly. So many of us felt that post-COVID drift, and naming it is the first step back. You’ve already pressed “reset” by showing up here, and I’m honored this book and newsletter can walk with you. You’ve got this, and I’m cheering for your fresh start.

Hi Sara. I am a aesthetic business owner/ injector & teach my patients about how to age well holistically. To age well on the outside you have to age well on the inside

Nutrition is everything. I myself had some health issues with bowel obstructions for no apparent cause other than very slow transit ?

I was given lots of various aperients but it was my intuition that solved my problem. I keep hearing a voice inside saying ‘ you are what you eat’

Getting caught up with high protein diets i think even though i ate veggies it was not enough

I decided to go vegetarian & have not had a problem since!

No dr - surgeon & multiple GP’s & even naturopath ever suggested it

It was Sadguru - Indian spiritual leader who said humans have much longer guts than animals, therefore we should eat vegetables for gut function!

How disappointing our medical system is. It was suggested a possible

bowel resection maybe a good solution!

I am conscientious about maintaining my protein levels.

I WOULD LOVE A COPY OF YOUR BOOK FOR MYSELF & to share to others 👏🙌😊

Hi Suzie, thank you for sharing your story. Nutrition is essential I couldn’t agree more, and our healthcare system doesn’t give it the importance it has. It will be a pleasure to share the book with you. I’ll DM you with the details. Warmly, Sara

I appreciate what you write. I am also a RN of 13 years, but now staying home with a special needs daughter. Many things in western medicine frustrate me. I have horrible gut issues and no western doctor can figure it out, but I can't afford all the functional medicine doctors who don't take insurance. It's such a stuck point.

I'd love your upcoming book to give me more insight for myself and others!

Thank you for sharing this so openly Michelle. Caring for a special-needs daughter while navigating your own gut issues is a lot, and the insurance gap is a real, frustrating barrier. I wrote this book to bridge exactly that, clear, evidence-based, low-cost guidance, and there’s a dedicated gut chapter you may find validating and practical. I’d love for you to read it. I’ll DM you details about the book soon! Best regards, Sara

Wow. I followed you b/c I liked your writing style and in the tips above your metaphors of our internal houses and offices connects powerfully with my own internal language.

A few days ago I connected with my internal water need vs food / snack need signal and recognized they were separate signals. And then you write about that here. This is a new journey for me, beginning to recognize different specific body signals other than pain and sugar snack requests.

Consciously completing the feedback loop in response to my body’s request for something other than snacks and getting up with water first is new for me.

This new cellular level signal awareness has also created an additional new internal awareness of my gut, and your descriptions and advanced knowledge of flowers vs weeds is timely and important for me. I am blessed to be reading your work now.

All this to say, I would like preview your new book. I am going to go back and read your other work.

This is beautiful, thank you. I’m thrilled the metaphors clicked right as you’re tuning into true thirst vs. snack signals. That kind of internal precision is a powerful milestone. I’ll DM you details regarding the book soon, and I’m honored you’re diving into my other pieces. Best regards, Sara

Your post about “NO alcohol is good for you” and WHY, with your analogy of the ink drop tracks -in clearer, simpler language- what I’ve been reading for a few years (just not so explicitly). As someone who has had a glass of wine once or twice a year for years, I haven’t even had that for about 3 years even though my favorite bottle of wine is in my home-still unopened after being purchased over 3 years ago. Thanks for this confirmation that no one else who I’ve come across in reading about health and longevity seems to be talking about.

Thank you Colleen. I truly appreciate your message. This is something quite controversial, specially when it comes to red wine in the Mediterranean diet, but the evidence is clear: any dose or type of alcohol is safe.

I just stumbled over your substack today. I,too, wish we had drs. who see that holistic and evidence-based approaches are both useful, and who believe in involving patients in their own health care. And, we need drs. who listen to their clients. Your writings are a great start! Thanks!

First time reader of your Substack and really appreciate the clarity and simplicity with which you write! You have a gift for making complex concepts accessible and demystifying topics that we constantly hear about but never really get full understanding around. For example, your analogies for drinking (the document) and Insulin resistance (the tiny locks) really resonated. Thank you!
